Ute Neuber

After training as a goldsmith and milliner, Ute Neuber studied Product Design/Metal at the Angewandte. She has been working as a freelance artist and researcher since 1989 and has been teaching in the Art Education program at the Angewandte since 2001.In 2021, she completed a Feldenkrais training. Her artistic research consists of long-term projects such as Portable Dwellings (Tbs), Clothing Kit or 9m circumference between body and space. Shapeshifting has also become a long-term teaching project at the Angewandte. Based on the recently completed Feldenkrais training, the search for three-dimensional, mobile mediation tools for the self-experience of whole-body functional relationships formed the basis for another long-term project. Through the various artistic projects, a cross-thematic context of knowledge and experience is continuously formed, from which it is possible to respond creatively to a wide variety of occasions. The content for an open, group-dynamic teaching and learning format, which is summarized under experimental development methods at the Angewandte, also unfolds from this context.
