Manuel Wandl

Manuel Wandl has more than two decades of experience in the field of artistic hand weaving. After training as a textile designer and obtaining a teaching degree in Textiles, he has been teaching weaving at KunstModeDesign Herbststrasse since 2009 and at the Angewandte since 2014. Weaving serves not only as a technical method for realizing his works but also as the foundation for developing his concepts. Additionally, he is deeply committed to exploring the cultural and historical aspects of devices and tools in surface-forming technology, aiming to open up new perspectives and fields of application.
