How can personal experiences, memories and stories be translated into artistic forms of expression? In this workshop, the technique of cyanotype on textile will be used as a means to get closer to one's own artistic voice. Under the guidance of artist Abiona Esther Ojo, who combines autobiographical themes with photographic and textile processes in her work, participants will experiment with light, fabric and their perception. The workshop invites participants to understand textile surfaces as carriers of stories - as spaces for self-questioning, visualization and design.

Abiona Esther Ojo is an artist based in Vienna. She studied Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in the Department of Sculpture and Spatial Strategies with Monica Bonvicini, Stefanie Seibold and Iman Issa. She was awarded the Kunsthalle Wien Prize in 2020 for her diploma thesis Die Magie steckt in jeder Strähne.
